TUT6466 - GB QV 1841 2d. Deep Full Blue Trial VF Unused
Great Britain - QV (line engraved), 1841, SG(15) DP431841 White Lines 2d. Deep Full Blue small trial on vertical lined watermarked paper, upper N.E. corner marginal example, no gum as 'issued'. Interestingly SG Specialised Catalogue states: the small plate of 12 impressions was made because the new type 'white lines' 2d. Was not ready and SPECIMENS were required for distribution of the forthcoming issue. Void corner letters printings were in full deep blue. Minor bend, hinge trace (no remainder) - very fine. Rarer than a fine mint 2d. Blue - yet more affordable. SG Specialised CV £1,500= (is arguably under-priced) RARE (1v.) Previously sold for a few pounds short of GBP£1,000= (UPA CERTIFICATE)
